Pregnancy, Birth, and Parenting Support
The MaIH Center
The Maternal and Infant Health (MaIH) Center
Care Close to Home
The MaIH Center, owned and operated by Altruism Media, Inc. (DBA Altruism, Inc.), provides prenatal and postpartum services to support a healthy pregnancy and delivery. This support also includes mental health care, nutrition support and other services with the help of a doula and midwife. We also provide support for other needs like food, diapers, clothing, car seats, utilities, among other things.
The MaIH Center will pair you with a doula to help with birth planning, provide education about your pregnancy, and help you prepare for your new baby. The doula will also be there to help you speak to doctors and nurses during prenatal visits, labor and delivery, and after your baby is born. Our midwives are here to answer your questions, provide prenatal exams and other support to help you throughout your pregnancy journey.
The best part of all, the services we provide are free to those who qualify. This includes individuals covered through Medicaid, as well as those who are uninsured. All services are provided by appointment only. The MaIH Center is centrally located in Lexington, Missouri
at 721 S. Business Highway 13. To schedule a visit, call 660.259.2402.
For those looking to support a great cause, maternal and infant health is at the top. Please consider a donation of any amount.

Support & Comfort
What is a doula?
The goal of a doula is to help parents have a positive and healthy birth. Doulas provide emotional support. They help you understand what to expect during pregnancy, labor, and delivery — and they help you plan. Doulas help you talk with your nurses and doctors.
Doulas also provide classes to help with breastfeeding, stress management, breathing exercises to help during labor, while also providing comfort at bedside when your baby is about to come.
